From Struggle to Strength
My Healing Journey and How I Can Support Yours
I came to this work as someone searching desperately for healing. For years, I struggled with intense anxiety and overwhelming panic attacks. Diagnosed with chronic IBS as a teenager, I spent much of my youth in and out of hospitals. By age 21, I was told I’d likely live with constant pain for the rest of my life—managing symptoms rather than ever finding real relief. I remember thinking—wait, what? Is this it? Is this how my life is supposed to be? No way.
Determined to change my story, I embarked on a journey of deep healing. I left behind the hustle of a European city and immersed myself in the chaotic yet restorative sounds of the jungle in Asia. Over the course of seven years, I explored and trained in yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and Vedanta, slowly peeling back the layers of my body, mind, and emotions.
Along the way, I faced and navigated PTSD and attachment trauma. Bit by bit, I transformed from a people-pleasing codependent into someone grounded in their truth. I learned to set boundaries that felt authentic and finally broke free from the chains of codependency.
For so long, I felt stuck—dysregulated, broken, and out of control. But along this journey, I discovered something life-changing: you’re not stuck because you’re not trying hard enough. You’re stuck because your body’s self-protective systems don’t feel safe enough to embrace the life you want. The good news? That can change.


I immersed myself in somatic practices, inner child work, mindfulness, authentic relating, and other healing methods. Deep down, I believed that the life I longed for—the one I truly deserved—was within reach. And I was right. I healed. And I know you can, too.
Eventually, I began training to become a somatic experiencing practitioner. Through years of studying somatics, Polyvagal theory, trauma work, and supporting clients, I’ve come to understand that unresolved trauma is often at the root of our pain, struggles, unhappiness, and relationship challenges.
Trauma isn’t just stored in the mind—it lives in the body, showing up as sensations, reactions, behaviors, emotions, and thought patterns. When we’re triggered, the parts of our brain responsible for language often shut down. That’s why we can’t simply “think” our way out of trauma. True healing requires working with the body, teaching it that it is safe to let go.
This journey has shown me that healing is possible. And I truly believe it’s possible for you, too.
